Evidence informed education: taking stock, looking ahead

Held at The Wellcome Trust in London this CEBE workshop took stock of developments in the use of evidence in education over the past decade and considered how the field needs to evolve over the coming ten years. It brought together policy makers, practitioners, researchers, and intermediaries to consider how we can collaborate to build an effective evidence system that is appropriately integrated into the wider educational landscape.

Introduced by Baroness Estelle Morris, other confirmed participants included Cat Scutt, Director of Education and Research at the Chartered College of Teaching, Tom Bennett, Founder and Director of researchED, Jonathan Breckon, Director of The Alliance for Useful Evidence, Rachel Tuffin, Director, Knowledge, Research and Education at the College of Policing, and Professor Jonathan Sharples, Senior Researcher at the Education Endowment Foundation.

Below are the presentations made by Rachel Tuffin and Huw Davies, together with some summary notes from the day.
